Beginning January 1, 2009, vessel owners or operators will be able to purchase a block of 10, Ten-Day Coastal Recreational Fishing Licenses.Each block has ten licenses that are valid for 10 days.The responsible party of a business owned vessel can get a block of licenses for $150.The boat has to be registered in North Carolina or documented with the U.S. Coast Guard.These licenses can't be used on a vessel for hire fishing.There is no limit to the number of licenses an individual can purchase.The licenses must be used on the vessel for which they were issued.Each license must be returned to the Division in a postage paid envelope.Blocks of licenses are valid for two years.Blocks of 10 Ten-Day Coastal Recreational Fishing Licenses are only available from the Division of Marine Fisheries license offices.10 applications
