Modular fixturing is a workholding system using a series of standardized components for building specialized workholders. As shown in Figure 6-1, a modular workholder is assembled from a variety of standard off-the-shelf tooling plates, supports, locating elements, clamps, and similar components.
What are fixture plates?
Fixture plates are also known as tooling plates or module fixture plates. A Fixture plate has a lot of threaded holes that are protected against any leftover chipping by a set of screws that can be removed to use the punching holes as you deem fit.
A fixture is a workholding device, or a tool that holds a part in place while it's being CNC machined. Of course, CNC machining a custom fixture means machining a part just to hold another part; for this reason, it's generally not recommended except for high volume production runs.
What is milling fixture?
Milling Fixture • Fixtures used to perform different types of milling operations are called milling fixtures. • Milling fixture is accurately located and bolted on the machine table by using bolts and nuts. • The cutter is not guided during cutting operation.

What is CNC in electrical?
Numerical control (also computer numerical control, and commonly called CNC) is the automated control of machining tools (such as drills, lathes, mills and 3D printers) by means of a computer. In modern CNC systems, the design of a mechanical part and its manufacturing program is highly automated.
