What does my pacemaker monitor do?
Using an integrated aerial, the implant automatically sends medical and technical information from your heart, to the clinicians who are treating you. This allows them to monitor accurate and current clinical information at any time not just when you are at the hospital.
How often should a Medtronic pacemaker be checked?
A complete pacemaker check should be done six weeks after a pacemaker is implanted. A pacemaker should then be checked every three/six months to evaluate battery function. Regular follow-up is important after a pacemaker implant. Your doctor will tell you how often you will need to have it checked.
