Toiletries Shampoos, conditioners, soaps, deodorants, shaving cream, razors, and other toiletries are also useful items to bring to food pantries or food drives. The small size ones from hotel stays or the free samples of the products you receive with purchases can also be donated.

Can I donate unopened toothpaste?
We accept unused and unopened Hygiene Items, either assembled in a kit or stand alone. Specifically: Soap, Shampoo, Lotion, Deodorant, Toothbrush/ Toothpaste, Combs, Conditioner, Razors, and Wet Wipes. We request that hygiene items be Travel Size.
What items do food banks not accept?
Fruit, sauces, pickles, and other goods that are sold in glass jars should be avoided. They can easily shatter in transport, and food banks often cannot distribute them for safety reasons. Most food banks are unable to accept items such as cheese, butter, and milk unless it's properly packaged and shelf stable.
Cosmetics and Toiletries While certain charities can use donations of new, unused personal care items like toothpaste and diapers, thrift stores cannot resell such items. For obvious sanitary reasons, used or opened cosmetics and lotions are a definite no.
