Long hair requires a lot of care and effort. It is easy to take care of short hair.It can be used for long and heart shaped faces. The hair is curly. They are great for thin or thick hair. You can cut someone else's hair, but you may have to adjust some techniques so that they are more comfortable.
Step 1: Start by cutting hair that is already long.
Short hair is easier to work with than long hair.If the client's hair falls past their shoulders, cut it off.The length will be more manageable with rough-cutting.If it looks odd, don't worry. You will take off more in the following steps.Don't cut too close to the person's head. The cut hair will stay tied together as a result of the ponytail. The option to donate hair is given to the client.
Step 2: Along the nape, make sure to refine the hairline.
Pull the comb through the hair.Put your fingers behind the comb and make a V-shape with your fore and middle fingers, closing them against the hair at the nape.Just below them, cut the hair.Hold your fingers at a slight angle as you repeat the process.Work with a thin section of hair, no longer than the length of your first knuckle to your second knuckle. If you are cutting curly hair, make sure to cut it 112 to 2 inches long.
Step 3: The back of the hair should be separated from the front.
To create a vertical part on each side of the head, use the handle of a rat-tail comb. The parts should meet on top of your head. The hair should be brushed out of the way.Attach the hair with clips if it won't stay forward.
Step 4: There is a section of hair on the back of the head.
Take a vertical section of hair from the back-center of the client's head, comb through it, and pinch it between your fore and middle fingers. If you want to cut the hairs in front of your fingers, you'll have to slide the fingers down. The cut is 2 inches (5.08 centimeters) long.
Step 5: A horizontal section of hair should be cut across the vertical one.
Right across the section you just cut, pinch a horizontal section of hair. The cut ends of the vertical section are visible when you slide your fingers down.Cut the horizontal section to align it with the vertical one.
Step 6: Cut hair in horizontal and vertical sections.
Work your way to the right side of the head. You should keep alternating between vertical and horizontal sections. This method will allow you to measure the strands against each other. When you get to the parts behind the ears, stop.
Step 7: If you want to blend the hair, comb it upwards and then cut it.
The hair should be combed upwards with a fine-toothed comb.As you comb upward, cut the hair that's sticking out through the bristles. The line should follow the curve of the client's head. The point is that you won't cut everything that's in front of the comb.At this time, you should only remove small amounts of hair.If you realize you have a lot of hair to cut, then you should recut using the techniques discussed above.
Step 8: You should cut the hair on the sides the same way you did for the back.
Cut thin, vertical and horizontal sections of hair between your fore and middle fingers with the hairdressing shears.Do one side first then the other. If you don't know how much to cut off the un-cut strands, pinch some of the cut strand. If you want to make sure the sides are even, pull the hair on both sides straight out and look in the mirror.
Step 9: Take the hair out of the ear.
The hair should be combed over the ears.Cut the hair around the ears with the shears. It's a good idea to use the natural hair around the ears as a guide.Work your way back-to-front.
Step 10: If you want a twist, consider an undercut.
Cut whatever is sticking out of the comb by combing the hair on the back upward. You have to go across the back and along the sides.Pull the hair away from the head with a comb and then use a buzzer. You can finish off the undercut by buzzing around the nape and ears.Blow drying the hair straight is the best way to do an undercut.
Step 11: You should cut the top part of the hair.
There is a section of hair between your fore and middle fingers. To angle your fingers away from your head, include a few cut strands from the back. The hair is sticking out of the fingers. How long you want the top to be depends on how much you angle your fingers. The longer the top is, the more you angle your fingers upwards.
Step 12: Cut the top and blend it into the back and sides.
The same angling technique is used to get across the back of the crown. When you do the sides, use the same technique.Measure your hair against the strands on the tip of the angles to see if you have any left over. The hair should be parallel to the hair line for the top of the head. You need to check the hair on the top of the head against the other parts. You could end up with a mushroom shape if you don't cut enough from the top.Leave the bangs alone.
Step 13: Cut the bangs to the length you want.
Between your fore and middle fingers, pinch a section of hair.Cut the hair below the fingers if you want it to be near the eyes. From one side to the other, work your way across the bangs. If you want to flatter the client's face shape, choose a length and style for your bangs that you think will. Many people recommend long, feathery bangs to flatter a square face and side-swept bangs for a heart-shaped face.Don't cut the bangs if the hair is going to shrink up.If the hair is too long, you can trim it after it dries.Measure the strands against each other.
Step 14: The top part of your hair should be covered with bangs.
The bangs should be pinched between your fore and middle finger.Measure the hair against the cut strands on the top of the head.Cut the hair that's sticking out of your fingers. You have to go from one side of the bangs to the other.Place your fingers in the bangs. The hairs on the top of your head will blend into those on your bangs.
Step 15: Thin the hair on the top and bangs.
Pull a thin strand of hair upwards, then gently glide the scissors along the shaft. If you think the hair should be trimmed along the top and bangs, repeat this technique. This technique works well for people with short hair. You can blend the thinning by pinching the strand between your fore and middle fingers.Thinner shears near the ends of your hair can be used to create texture and remove bulk.If you use them near the center or roots of your hair, it will make it look messy.
Step 16: The hair should be combed, dried and styled as desired.
A simple blow-dry is all most people will need. You can use hair wax or pomade to increase the volume of hair. After you dry your hair, use a styling cream or foam to tame it.You should check the hair after you've styled it.It is possible to trim areas that are too long.If you want to add volume to the cut, you can use a dry hair product on the roots. To give the cut a bit of tousled texture, work it through to the ends.
