Beginning May 3, 2023, Real ID-compliant driver's license, permit, or identification card will be required to board commercial airplanes or enter certain federal facilities.A Real ID is indicated by the star in the upper right-hand corner of your driver's license, permit, or state identification card.
If your current legal name, date of birth, or gender is different from what is displayed on your identity or lawful status document, you must show legal proof of the changes made.There are acceptable documents supporting a change.

The document needs to show the full SSN for it to be accepted.You can use the most common documents to prove your social security.
You need two documents to prove your residency in Indiana.To get a Real ID, you need to be a legal resident of Indiana.
Indiana requires new license, permit, or ID card applicants to provide documents that prove their identity, lawful status, and residency.Real ID compliant credentials will be issued by the BMV.Unless the person has temporary resident status, real ID documentation won't be required.
A non- compliant license or ID card means you don't have the documents needed to verify your identity, lawful status, SSN, and/or residency.Only Hoosiers with a non- compliant license or ID card can apply for one.
It is not acceptable for federal identification purposes to have a non- compliant license or ID card.
You can request an original or certified copy of your birth certificate if you don't have it in your possession.
If you don't have your social security card in your possession, you can request a replacement card from the Social Security Administration.
If you can't provide two documents, you may submit an Indiana Residency Affidavit.
