A rise in soil temperature this week could be a sign of things to come.
After 17 years underground, the so-called "Brood X" cicadas are set to emerge in Southwest Ohio, according to the Ohio Department of Natural Resources.
Between late-April and mid- May, the cicadas will emerge from eight inches beneath the ground.
