A custom controller can be built out of Hardwood.
Do you want a guitar hero controller that you can design?Here's complete directions for how to do it.
Step 1: If you want to duplicate a style of guitar, choose one.
Step 2: Donate the electronics from a standard guitar hero controller.
Step 3: It is necessary to measure, Measure!
!!Measure so that your custom controller can use the standard electronics.
Step 4: The dimensions obtained from the previous step will help you create a rough sketch of your guitar.
Step 5: Use a large piece of paper or cardboard to create a template of your guitar.
Step 6: You need to find a piece of wood that is bigger than your template and thickness.
Step 7: Use a pencil to transfer the template onto the wood.
Step 8: If you want to cut the shape out of the wood, use a band saw.
Step 9: A pocket-slot for the electronics and wiring is created by using a router.
Step 10: Anything you think can work will suffice, for the faux tuners.

Step 11: The radius on the edges can be created using the router.
Step 12: The piece needs to be sanded.
Step 13: You need to find a piece of wood that is larger than your template.
Step 14: Use a pencil to transfer the template onto wood.
Step 15: You can cut out the shape of the exterior using a band saw.
Step 16: If you want the holes to be easy to cut, drill small pilot holes.
Step 17: If you want to cut out each buttonhole, use a jewelers say or a jigsaw.
Step 18: The piece should be sanded to the desired shape and finish.
Step 19: You can find a piece of wood that is larger than the template.
Step 20: Transfer the template onto wood using a pencil.
Step 21: If you want to cut out the shape of the exterior, you can use a band saw.
Step 22: A pocket-slot for electronics, wiring and neck attachment can be created by using a router.
Step 23: The radius can be created using the routers.
Step 24: The piece should be Sanded to the desired shape and finish.
Step 25: Attach the neck to the body with either wood glue or wood screws.
Step 26: Attach all of the electronics to the body and neck.
Step 27: The buttons should be placed in the buttonholes.
Step 28: Attach the fret board to the neck with small screws.
Step 29: If you want the wood to shine, apply polyurethane to all the surfaces.
Step 30: The wood needs to be dried overnight to get a good finish.
